CAH in St Petersburg

This month has seen CAH students and staff playing a central role in the celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the twinning of Manchester and St Petersburg in Russia. CAH student Sophie Parker has curated “Contemporary Manchester” an exhibition showing art works by undergraduate & postgraduate photography students from Manchester School of Art now on display at the Russian National Library in St Petersburg. Artist and CAH lecturer Rick Copsey is exhibiting a one-person show of his video & photographic works at the Puskinskaya-10 Arts Centre in St Petersburg. Both of these exhibitions were opened by the Lord Mayor of Manchester and attended by representatives of the St Petersburg Government and Her Majesty’s Consulate General. Sophie will be starting her MA in September, after graduating CAH, having been offered a place at Goldsmith’s on the MA in Anthropology and Cultural Politics.
