An artists impression of the planned Royal Exchange station.

Just been for quick look at the Infra_Manc exhibition at CUBE in Portland Street.

A fascinating insight into the Manchester there never was. The Picc-Vic tunnel (plan to build an underground rail link between Manchester’s two main stations) I knew about, but the level of planning that hd gone inot the system, it was essentially ready to built, when scrapped. there were no details of why it was abandoned, I’m hoping it is discussed in the exhibition catalogue, large and very good value at £10.

The exhibition closes Saturday, go see it if you can.
